Myths of reservation
by OBC Yadav on Apr 11, 2008 12:37 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

If you think reservation will do any good, think again. In India only 20 % of graduates are employable.
That means only 20% graduate get job what they want.
Open category is still 50 % open.
This verdict will create further biased in Private sector.
Their are very few Govt. Jobs
So OBCs will have degree but no job. On other side all Open category student will be easily absorbed in work force.

Also ,Their is no dearth of private engg, and medical college. Plus I heard foriegn company are coming in education sector.
They will directly train your so called merit guys and export them (this is what happening in AIIMS).
You guys won't loose anything technically, Only looser will be OBCs.

why can't you suggest to put restrictions on open category and keep only 10% for open category and rest for BC, OBC, SC, ST Muslim christians and what not?

Because reservation is given in proportionate to the population my dear friend. It's not given on useless basis. If the community belonging to particular caste in proportion to their total population is representing in less percentage to their population then only the facility of reservation is given.
However the real problem is the applicability of this policy.
