what hardship? heheha. Dont tibet ppl want lhasa to be like shanghai. Thats what china is trying to do. And tibetans are protesting because they want to be poor, and remain poor. They dont any change. They dont want KFC, burger kings in lhasa. They want to keep living in their jhopad patti and pray to budha all day.
To think that indians talk about hard life in tibet is a big joke. Most indians lives are way worse than current tibetans. :D

You think tamilnadu was part of mughal rule? Was it part of ashoka's rule? Was it part of any rule except for last 100 or so years? Tibetans since their begiining could not choose their own Dalai Lama. They had to go before their chinese emperor with a list of names. The chinese emperor chose their dalai lama for them :D. Tibet was always a surrogate kingdom under chinese emperor's hold. Just like say a smaller kingdoms in india existed under Ashoka's rule. They accepted Ashoka as the emperor and were 'allowed' to rule by themselves. Dont talk without knowing history.

One big difference is that Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra are democratic as is ALL of India. People elect their leaders whether good or bad. When their time is up, even the worst leaders in India vacate their seat for the next government.
Not like Tibet where the Han Chinese tell them who the next Dalai Lama will be. In China, the government tells people where they can live and whether they can have a child. So think before making stupid comparisons.

:) Chinese emperor always chose the Dalai Lama. Thats their tradition. Did you know that? Tibet was a kingdom and allowed to be one by the Chinese emperor. Just like say a big emperor like Ashoka allowed some small kingdom in deccan to be there. You are poisoned by the indian politicians, CIA rhetoric, western media and you dontknow the facts.
If you talk about lack of freedom in whole of china, thats a diffeernt valid point. Independence for tibet is not a valid point. Tamilnadu, north-east india have more credence for independence than tibet from china.

first understand tibet before talking for China. Tibet is a hermit kingdom. Its people are 95% budist hermits ie they also do other trades but just to sustain their primary desire of living like hermits. They have no intention of become mordern or wnnt tobe one. Imagine a lama arriving in a Mercedes Benz :). Chinese just want to exploit their natural resources & bring in a Han identity by erasing all forms of Tibetian culture. They think all people with small eyes are chinese:).

So you mean if tamilnadu says only tamils can live in talimnadu. And maharashtra says only marathis can live there. Is that fine for you? What will happen to bombay then? Tamils have a different culture than north indians. Different language different food, dont look the same. Hate each other too. Try talking hindi on the streets of madras and see what happens. :D You are iving in your dreams George
