Gandhiji was indeed a person to b reverred. I accept he had made some wrong decisions, n his poor treatment to netaji are points which r really matter of dissatisfaction. But he was the man who was really patriot n deserves to b called father of nation..India. He channelised the freedom struggle movement through nook n corners of cities n villages to courtyard of justice n finally to power centre of then india (british). Freedom struggle, which was earlier just a gossip n futile excercise in big n glorious drawing rooms of nehru n jinnah, got a whole new mantra n path. A person like gandhiji, who was worshipped by almost all the indians..be of ne religion or cast that time...can only b an imagination n dream now....

feeling nice to know that u respect him.most of the young failed to understand him and thats why cant appreciate him well. netaji was extent of patriosm but to take support from japan his foolish. if japan had won the war then right now we are just serving the japanees people. they come in to war just because they wants to increase their land area. they are as bad as hitlar.and i think english people are better then japaniz. well this is my view, am not telling gandhiji is perfact man but he is near about. u must read 'satya na prayogo' autobiography of gandhiji. u will come to know the height of that great man.

Gandhi was not worshipped by all Indians. You must know that a true Muslim cannot worship anyone except Allah. Throughout his life, Gandhi ket trying that the Muslims accept him as their leader. This never happened. His role in freedom struggle is highly overstated. If Gandhi got us freedom, he got it as a biproduct of his Muslims First policy.

I know not by all..thats y i said "almost all". As far as muslims r concerned...they also had major portion loving gandhiji. Dont hate him fren....can u imagine a single person today who can treat everyone equal, without ne partiality, who will attack no one n be daring enough to spend much life in jail....n then also do not want himself or his children b seated on highest chair of this nation....?? He surely had weaknesses n mistakes on his part..but they r not taller than him....

Gandhi was no patriot. His stature was so tall, that he could not be expected to be loyal to one country. This taught Nehru to try to become a World Leader, being a Prime Minister of a third world country. How dearly we have paid for Nehru's ambition of winning a Nobel Prize.

@arnv singh,
The unity was created as a result of the common feeling of suppression and for want of a better and consistent leadership, the masses followed Gandhi...
