The very timing of taking up the Hogenakkal drinking water scheme and the unanimus resolution got passed by Chief Minister Mr. karunanidhi in the Tamilnadu Assembly, at a time when there is no elected govt in place in Karnataka and when the state elections are just a month away and the way now the project is put on hold all of a sudden appears a big hoax and reeks of rank political opportunism rather than the real interest of the project or that of the water starved districts at heart. Does Mr Karunanidhi not know that the weak UPA govt at the centre of which he is a part and congress is the major partner can not force any decision on either state?
It can force Karnataka to agree to Tamilnadu executing the project only at the danger of being wiped out in the coming state elections. Nor can it direct Tamilnadu Govt to drop the project. When the situation is so clear to everybody, does it mean Mr Karunanidhi is only trying to blackmail the Centre or has some other ulterior motive in the sudden move viz., consent for Sethu Project, ministership for his daughter Kanimozhi, or son Azhagiri.
My worst fears have come true. Now you can expect MK to get from the centre what he really wanted. Let the water starved districts and the people go to hell.

It's true that karunanidhi is not a good politician. For that matter no politician is good. However, as far as this hogennakkal issue concern, it is a project to be done within tamilnadu. Why TN state govt has to get permission for this project which will be done at internal part of TN? Above all, this project was already approved by J.H. Patel and also union government by Jun 29 of 1998. Where were you at that time and y r u shouting now? Think twice. This is polician trigger to gain votes for the upcoming elections. Hope you understand

BJP and Jeyalalitha were well planned the matter before Mr.yediyurappa visited the site and commented against the drinking water project. After that jeyalalitha started in tamilnadu . She wrote that karunanidhi is keeping calm, and he is not elgible to implement the project like that. Her Plan was to make problem to DMK and Congress either in tamilnadu or in Karanataka because BJP and ADMK coalition already finalised for coming elections in karnataka and in tamilnadu. But the announcement of karuna nidhi for postponing the project until new govt, shocked both BJP and ADMK jeyalalitha. Now the peoples of both states understood clarly who make politics by dividing the peoples. Today Jeyalalitha announced that Karuna is against Tamilnadu and she barked lot against the CM. The Game was started by BJP and ADMK The game is closed by Cong -DMK. This is fact. The other fact are.... 1. Some theater owner in karanataka losses their revenue and their assests. 2. Ordinary peoples from both states getting worried on relationships 3.some buses are burned here and there. 4.Theraters are closed in tamilnadu for 2 shows 5. Anti peoples MOB enjoyed these days in street. 6. We tamil and kannadians , eventhough same dravidan background fighted each other and spread the venom one among others. 7. Please educated peoples , keep some distance away from these politicians.
