I guess that this is the season for jokes and Karunanidhi is in full flow. It was Karunanidhi who perpetrated the great tradition of Dravidian political parties of using bad language even in the Assembly. His guru Ramaswamy Naicken must be credited for introducing the worst, crudest and the most vulgar language into Tamilnadu politics starting from his meeting speeches, articles, books and interviews. Karunanidhi extended this into the Assembly. Believe it or not, Karunanidhi once while answering a question in the assembly said, "Undo the naada, (a string used to hold up a lady's skirt / petticoat etc.) lift the skirt and you will find the answer. He later explained this as saying he was referring to the string tied around the government files, skirt is the flap on the file etc. So bad alanguage is part of the rich Dravidian political tradition and Karunanidhi just cannot avoid using bad or "harsh" language. Thanks, P.B.Mohan

Mr. Mohan, Harsh or bad language is the property of all politicians not just Karunanidhi. They all live on bad tongue. Dont try to squeese it to a group.

Saigeetha, The language was introduced to assembly by MK. That is the issue. Even u can use similar language at your home, but not at a public place.

Ms.Saigeetha, As Mr.Ramabhadran has mentioned, bad language was introduced into Tamilnadu politics by the Dravidian parties and made into a fine art by Karunanidhi. This is almost like the finesse achieved by the Australian cricket team in sledging opponents. That other politicians are matching Karunanidhi word for word is also bad. Thanks, P.B.Mohan

Your name is a clear indication of who you are. You must hear what MK said in Tamil (I think it was a reply to T N Ananthanayaki)and u will understand the vulgarity of the words. The words are his mind. No difference.

You got it right Mr.Ramabhadran. It was the same Ananthanayaki, whom Karunanidhi crudely referred to later in another debate as "Antha" nayaki. Vulgarity, thy name is Karunanidhi. Thanks, P.B.Mohan

Hail Ms.Georgina - a worthy moral successor to Karunanidhi in carrying forward the beacon of uncultured language not just in politics. Please do not report Ms. Georgina's message as abuse. All readers should see this and form theirmown opinion on Dravidian party politics. Thanks, P.B.Mohan

Please don't get judgemental Mr.Brahmana Vessy. Karunanidhi did not use the word, "file" in the assembly the first time. He only added it after the uproar. He also said, "Lift the skirt and see". Thanks for proving that bad language is part of the rich Dravidian party political tradition by justifying what that polygamist traitor said. Thanks, P.B.Mohan
