Dear friends who oppose this Hogenakkal scheme, Do you know which state is going to face elections now? Do you know who has instigated this recent unrest? B.S.Yeddyurappa,who was in the chief miniaster's chair for just a week, appeared desperate to work up an emotive election-eve campaign. The key fact is that the two states reached an agreement in 1998 that they would not oppose each other's drinking water scheme. Tamilnadu withdrew its objection to the diversion of cauvery water for the Bangalore drinking water scheme on the understanding that Karnataka would not oppose the Hogenakkal drinking water scheme. This Yeddyurappa doesn't have any positive points to meet the elections. So as usual they try to instigate violence across the state to get some cheap political mileage.
