The great voice of the Kannada Heartland --Pt. Bhimsen Joshi has given us this message of unity. CV Raman spent his last few decades in Bengaluru. Should we erase his name from the city? The great Visweswarayya was a Telugu? Should we break the dams that he built? Bengaluru and for that matter, any Metro is cosmopolitan and if parochial, hate campaigns start, there will be no end to them... Every Metro will become a Srinagar. Curfew round the clock and military all around... Do we want it? C'Mon my fellow Kannadigas, we are human beings first, before we became Kannadigas, Tamils, Maraathis, Punjabis or Bengalees. And water, is every human being's life and one can say 'right'.

Exactly , these guys have no clue that cities are the nerve centres of the country and it would be and should be multicultural, this pagan silliness of regionalism is outright unacceptable

Army has decided not to interfere in internal matters of the country. Police will handle the issue.

... To Sur Bane Hamaara! Wah! James! You have struck the right cord... Are Coorgis Kannadigas or Greeks? Does it matter? It doesn't. The rendering of "Bhaagyaada Lakshmi Baaramma..." by MS Subbalakshmi or Pt Bhimsen Joshi in Carnatic or Hindustani touches the deepest sentiments of every south Indian, not just Kannadigaas. I'm sure Field Marshall Cariappa did not know the difference, between Kannadiga, Tamilian and Indian. Jai Hind!

Can the Kannada activists have guts to attack the tamil politicians or Karnataka politicians house or their kins. Why do you want to create trouble for a common man who is no way connected with the issues. Let us not lose the name of South India being a peace loving land. Let it remain calm and all the political vandalism be shown only to the politicians and not to the common man. Please allow them them live peacefully.
