This is the problem with India....press is so biased towards the upper caste BJP. This kind of propoganda will only bring backlash like DMK. There is not even a single article on the benefits of this project and benefits to Indians and tamilians. I had to go to different sites to learn those. In an earlier article one of the BJP guys were quoted "fishermen of tamilnadu will lose their culture because of this project ". What Audacity this idiot has to call a poor fisherman's poverty life as a culture that he wants them to suffer with..... This is a project that will give jobs and boom the economic downtrodden. You literate mass, dont derail development in the name of your god.

Please read the story "Ram Sethu: %u2018They have shoot-at-sight orders%u2019" before you call someone stupid. Which news report did you read to come with such a stupid conclusion. Time and time again many studies have proved this canal is not an economically viable project. You have a jaundiced view on this issue. You better refrain from posting...

I read that article and that is the article that had the quote I mentioned in my post.....Before you say I have a jaundiced view look at yourself. Do you know the other side? Do you know the powerful economic reasons that financial wizards like Manmohan Singh and Chidambaram are supporting? I would rather trust them rather than the stupid VHP..dirty safron clad BJP politicians....

Ok reuben lets say the project is beneficial then why the government of india not declaring the detail input cost and the expected output to the genral public.They are many expertise available outside the government also ,why not give them chance to debate the pros and cons once the detail report is out.You should read indian express where a retired government on water resourses has asked the government to publish everthing to the public. Lets say the project is really beneficial but why majorities religious sentiments are purposly being hurted by DMK,is it that indian and tamilnadu government only cares for minority and not majority.So the govn is by the majorities for the minorities and not for the majorities.

Reuben the entire new testament has bad mouthed jews hence jews were victims to anti semitic in all of europe for 2000 years which culminated in holocost.Even then government of israel which is a declared jew state supports and promotes christain holy places for revenue sake. This tamil nadu government can do a similar thing by promoting religious tourism which have a potential of attracting many pilgrimers ,which will give money in the states revenue as well help boost local and state employment.

Sure....I am all for historic temples and saving natural heritage. But this project is more than that....it seems like this bridge is more a hypothesis rather than reality. I trust ASI more than anyone else with conflict of interest.
