The project has got environmental clearance. The project has got economic viability. The project has been approved by both the NDA and the UPA. at this point,when a group of people tell that it was built by rama and it should not be demolished,HOW SHOULD THE CHIEF MINISTER REACT? The logical step is to ask whether rama was real or imaginary. People on rediff can give alternate suggestions.

ur leaving in perticular house since decades and decades they r abot make a road destroying ur house although they can re allign if its a dargah or mosque hw will u feel but not if its a hindu temple or ur house

with all due respects.
1) NDA passed the project
2) for 60 years, why was no attempt made to make this a heritage site? it would be safe then right?
3) Why didn't previous Governments Research more on this and protect it?
Out of the blue, the Sangh Parivar comes up with.. Stop the Project .. Ram Setu is here... It is too similar to the Ram Mandir fiasco .... looks too much like a political stunt..
Even now, they want to call in "volunteers" rather than historians/scholars. Makes you wonder.

Mr. Jackson.. Now, if NDA has been in power, it would have respected people's sentiments and changed the course of canal.. Why the hell,the congress is not doing it? When crores of hindus believe in Ram sethu, why should the congress govt be adamant on this alighment?
as for 60 years, its only the stupid congress ruled.. and you have to ask the congress government this question..
Dont worry.. there will be another mega project at the site of velankanny and you will feel situation..
Dont act like smart.. sangh parivar is part of this nation.. but, your antonio maino is not.. sangh parivar has no place other than india, unlike your maino family, who could conveniently escape to their native country..

im also a south indian. all the alignments have been evaluated and the present alignment was approved by vijay goel,the then minister in the NDA. when a minister signs a document,it is after a thorough evaluation.

Mr. Dinesh, If you are SO SMART than I don't you find some other alternative. Why you are trying to destroy Ram sethu. As a human being you must respect other people's faith. And don't give us lecture on benefit and economy. We know better. If TN really want to improve economy than there are lot of other thing they should do first.

How sure are you that Mr Minister is competent enough or has considered all the aspects before making a decision.
My friend tell me one decision made by any ministry which took all aspects into consideration. If thats the case then we are close to west in decision making processes,Which i am afraid is not the case.
