All those you argue that Ram Sethu project will develop India, please show us the numbers. How is country going to benefit? Atleast for those of us who oppose it, the biggest benefit is the preservation of ethos and culture of the country rooted in 2500 years of history that will automatically install pride, confidence and self respect.

I saw just one refence to any numbers on thi site.
"The Project will lead to considerable savings and earnings of foreign exchange. It is estimated that EXIM trade incurred on additional expenditure of approx Rs. 1000 Crores in foreign exchanging in transshipment of Indian cargo outside the country during the financial year 2003 -04 alone."
Thats it! On top of it these brown sahibs refer to it as Adam's bridge! Prove your point with some basic intelligence and then lets think of destroying Ram Sethu

Why don't the government speed up the National Highway project first, started by NDA and stalled by UPA because it bears Vajpayee's name. Lets try to get around inside the country on land and then think of taking round trips in water around the peninsula.
Fix airports and air transport before digging in the sea.
