True a lot of sensitivities are rubbed the wrong way and the ruling parties will suffer due to it, but the project should be scrapped for enough rational reasons and myths. There are many lies on which the sethu samudran project is based. One is that it will cut down travel time for naval trips, which is crap as the ships will have to travel slower. Another crap is that commercial ships will have a lot of cost benefit which is again not much. Environment disaster in the region is going to happen as that is a great marine bio reserve. Fishing is already impacted. It seems the project will only benefit the contractors who take up the work and the political parties who would be getting the kickbacks.
