Jesus did create a new religion or renovated the old belief. The old beliefs could have been million of years old like present Hinduism and was more suited to that time civilization eg. Kings rule. It is unfortunate Hinduism is not renovated to the social changes. Couple of religions like Buddhism, Jainism etc are founded but again the main stream in India stuck to Hinduism.
Ram issue has opened a debate what ever Hinduism belief has any scientific evidence and is there a need to update to the modern social belief. Anyone can say no science can question religion but the fact is everything followed in a region is right.
Couple of things I feel need a change is
1. Caste system.
2. More money more blessing thought.
3. No proper school to teach the religion which will separate the myth and facts.
4. Need tp promote inter caste marriage to abolish caste system.
5. Some simple basic principle to be laid down eg. Either all Hindus be veg or non veg.
6. Many of the practice are jut followed with out knowing the reason and this need to be researched and corrected. Eg can be why not a widow wears bindi.
7. Promote conversion to Hinduism this can happen only if caste system goes off. Any human have to right to be a Hindu and this need to addressed by the religious leaders.
8. Promote religious organization like Arya Samaj not political origination like VHP,RSS or BJP.
9. Hinduism lack spiritual leader, media concentrate only the street speakers and so called Hindu spok

It would be better if you can just stick to your religion. Advices come for free. All we Hindus are asking is "please shut up". We believe in our faith, epics, and mythological characters and we rever them. The minimum we Hindus are asking jokers from the so-called "secular" camp (DMK, Congress, left etc) are to keep quiet and not heap insults on us by your uncalled for comments, which are not even worth the dustbin.

First all you should have some sense of analysation. The fact is that there is no English translation of Dharam. The English word is Religion. But Religion and Dharam are two different words with different meanings. In Hindi, we call Religion as 'Sampradya', like Hindu 'Sampradya', Muslim 'Sampradya', Christian 'Sampradya'etc., whereas in English, we will say Hindu Religion, Muslim Religion or Christian Religion. Dharam is world associated with Mankind. For example, 'Humanity is mankind', no one will say 'Humanity is Religion', but the same if you have to convey in Hindi, then the correct phrase in Hindi will be 'Manavta Hi Dharam Hai'. No one will say ' Manavata Hi 'Sampradya' Hai'. Therefore, Dharam is uniform word, associated to all Human Beings irrespective of any Professions, Religions. Our Religious books only concentrate on Dharam. Dharam is only one ie. Sanatam Dharam. Arya Samaj is not a Religion, rather it is a social institution. Again Casteism is also a social factor. If there is any drawback in our Dharam, then the cure of that drawback also lies in our Dharam, and we no need to go anywhere.
