Energy and foriegn policy independence should not go
by Amrit Singh on Sep 24, 2007 12:08 PM   Permalink

There is nothing wrong in the nuclear deal. But our ultimate goal should be to become energy independent. Nobody knows where the future alliances will stand. So to become dependent on US for vital energy needs will be like living at their mercy which should be avoidable at all cirumstances. Deal is good, but progress and attention should be on energy independence and also on policy on foreign matters. recently some US Ambassafor to India said that we should not have a close relation with Iran. This is the main point here. And as with america, they only think of themselves. They need india now, that's y they are here. America's stabbing in the back habbit should be fully understood also.
