Why this hypocrisy
by Kalaignar on Sep 24, 2007 09:37 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

The same fanatics now trying to prevent construction of this project in Tamil Nadu pushed and started construction on Sardar Sarovar. Sardar Sarovar is a bigger disaster for ecology and inhabitants in the low lying areas of MP, etc.

This clearly shows that the Northies want all the development funds (along with the kickbacks from the corrupt contractors) for themselves while depriving the South of development projects.

Typical North Indian mentality. Utterly Shameful and they call themselves as True Indians...

Shame on all those who elected this scumbag. Take out his glasses once for all

Insulting Hindu faith is wrong; but putting impediments in Development is also wrong. If the same project was in Gujrat these BJP/VHP goons had praised the CM for his mentality. Sick people...

I am a south India. On any given time, a north-indian's mentality is better than that of a south indian. A south-indian, generally is insular and thinks about himself and his commune at the most as if others are non-existent. I am saying general mentality, exceptions are there.

hi ramanath, its not about having a better or worse mentality. I have observed that south states' CMs have this tendency of "lets grow our state first, the country will gain automatically".. this is a different approach but makes sense, and has worked well too, however in doing so some politicians go the extent of becoming too state oriented and giving speeches which are essentially anti other-states, and the followers of the govt which has actually done wonders for those states actually start having that feeling. I feel lot of problems between south states, for eg tamil nadu and karnataka have been made worse by politicians. Karunanidhi's statement tht project is being stopped to stall Tamil Nadus progress is just an example of how he tried to create a feeling of insecurity and "everyone hates us" within the ppl of tamil nadu

typical tamilian mentality, make every thing a north-south issue. ManU beat Chelsea yesterday, a tamilian would make that too a north-south thing, grow up tamilians. That stupid Karunanidhi said that BJP is trying to stall tamil nadus growth, and u believed him??? pity ur thinking, BJP is nothing but an opposition party for him, and hence he would say anything to get some votes or prove his point..

And i wont make any comments about Sardar Sarover project cuz i seriously have no clue about it. But if something like that has happened where religious sentiments of some community were hurt for some project, i personally condemn it, weather it happened in MP, or North India, or South India, and weather BJP was responsible for it or Congress. and btw a small geography tip for you, MP is not north india : )
