We respect GOD as long as it does not affect our survival. Folks, tamilnadu is very unique. We pray GOD but we vote for DMK. Did any of you really try to understand this? India will prosper if everybody understand God, politics, prosperity and LIFE. This canal project is the lifeline for tamilnadu's prosperity and Bharathi's dream. We will not let it go. Never. Dev : All you guys are missing a major point -- or atleast pretending that way -- If that bridge was constructed by Jesus or any other person ---The result would be the same --And you dont understand the history of India --There were many who followed Ravana and believe him as the hero --and Ram was the villain and they were also integrated into india -- If you dont know the hisotry -- Or after knowing causing unneccessary problems -- I think Tamilians would have no other choice --But before all this -- The issue is to built a canal and not to discuss history

I dont talk about Ram or Sethu, neither do I support Advani's rabble rousing. But, ecologically it will be a disaster and tamil fisherman will lose an important catchment area for fishing. And tsunami from Indonesia will be twice as deadly after dredging of this area for dear Chennai.

Well if Vellankani church is used to conduct prayers it's a different scenario altogether. Now coming to Adam's bridge --
1. We don't belive there was bridge build by an imaginary character in a novel 17 lakh years ago exist
2. And we also strongly belive no underwater or any other routing mechanism is used for strong vehicular traffic across that natural sand deposits.

Selva Anna, I will tell you why karuna is wrong, Not for sethusamudram project, but for making unwarranted comments against ram, which hurts many people. Take my word for granted, karuna for that matter any non-bjp politicial would not dared to have passed the same comment against Allah or Jesus. This is simply taking hindus for granted and pampering minorities for votes. South india did not prosper because of 'dravidian' movement which is probably there only in tamilnadu, the states like andhra and karnataka have shown excellent progress with out any dravidian movement.
