Shiva had a curse from Jahnava Muni, I can get the whole sory if you want,... and the salvation from the curse was that, Shiva must be bathed by Lord Rama with the water from the seven seas,...
Shiv ji is a staunch devotee of Lord Rama,... Shri Rama Ramethi Rame Raame Manorame, Sahasra naama Thatthulyam Raama naama Varaanane,...Shri Shiva tells Parvathi in Vishnu Sahasra Naama. Lord Rama also is very attached to his Devotees, especially Shiva is very dear to the, Lord hence he relieves Shri Shiva of the Curse of Jahnava Muni.
Lord made a Shivalingam out of sand and bathed the Lingam by inviting the water from Sapta samudra/ seven seas.
If you dwell the scriptures, the attribute of Bhagawan/ Supreme Lord means love... if the soul shows little love towards Lord, Lord reciprocates with thousand times of that... do not try to judge this display of love with logical/material calculations. We as human beings need a Spiritual touch to understand Spiritual stuff.

every thing is tried to superimpose the aryan gods over the dravidian gods.
why are u so desperate to rewrite history.
common sense will suggest that the aryans were nomads who came in and settled.
why is everyone trying so hard to suppress the facts.
it happened many thousands of years back.
we are one country today.
the more differences are there,the grander is our democracy.

jackson,it is a pity that this issue has been raked up by the selfish designs of jayalalitha,subramania swamy and advani.
it is bound to boomerang on them.
i hope mgrfan and others realise that they have been taken for a ride.
with mgrfan saying goodbye,others have taken up.
i think asai thamby was right about mgrfan and his other ids.
