Shrimad Bhagawatam is not the ultimate scriptures.. The Vedas are ..the rest are for different sects.. Saivas, Vaishanavas, Smartas, Shaktas .. All of them have sectional scriptures .. Shrimad Bhagavatam is for Vaishnavas ..

all of them can call themselves hindu .. but they are still part of the sects .. There is no One Hinduism..
Besides the Vedas supposedly have no origin .. so how can it have an author ..
Exactly Vedas have no Orgin.. good you this .... Supersoul - Supreme Lord... Soul - us,.. and Vedas are eternal. It is very high concept.
However Shri Vyasadev Compiled them into four Parts to make it more understandable and then came the Upanishads and Purans to make the Vedas further more understandable .....
Let me myself tell you ... It is the same authour - Shri Krishna Dvaipayana Vyas who compiled Vedas under the instruction of His Guru Shri Narada Muni, wrote Shrimad Bhagawatam, and at the end of it He mentions, Shrimad Bhagwatam is the JUICE of Vedas.

my friend, it is not a question of a seeker of truth, rather these are questions just to belittle the faith in you. look at the logic they apply, it is a waste replying to them.

Every sect uses these scriptures to its adantage.. I respect your faith and really do not wish to indulge in this discussion..

I apologise if i personally hurt you wiht any of my comments.. I read AC Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada's works as well whenever I lack direction in life but am not dogmatic about religion.

Pritish, from what I read of what you wrote, you know very little about your faith. You need to know more. I will also warn you: when you know more you may lose your faith. Otherwise you have to cheat your own intellectual curiosity, and be selective in what you want to know.
Other alternative is to have faith, no questions asked.
