Do you know that DMK was never never got majority of its own in any election?

Do you know that DMK never got more than 40% popular votes in any elections?

Now DMK supporter, go and fall in the Coovum river, DMK is not TN and TN is not DMK

Solid Proof here-

1967 - DMK got only 138 out of 202 seats, less than 45% Votes. That was because of its alliance with Swatantra Party of Rajaji

1971 - DMK got elected because of alliance with Indira Gandhi/Congress. Without alliance, DMK would have been shown the door. Also, MGR was with DMK .

1989 - DMK got only 32% vote. AIADMK was divided and so DMK got power

1996 - DMK got into power because of alliance with GK Moopanar's Tamil Maanila Congress. Other wise, they would have never got majority

2006 - DMK fails to get majority. ONly 97 Seats and 25% Votes.

Conclusion - DMK is not TamilNadu, TN is not DMK . DMK is a front for one family to make TN into a monarchy .

mgrfan,it can be observed that some brahmins are using unbecoming language.
it was earlier observed during the release of the movie periyar.
can any of these people state whether any brahmin came to any physical harm during the rationalist movement.
the white lies spread by these people only brings disrepute to their community.
the brahminical order which was suffocating the people was dismantled by the legendary leadership of periyar.
there was no acrimony against the brahmins.
they are a caste like any other in tamilnadu today.
the dmk has not been trying to spread atheism.
these people are trying to belittle the achievements of periyar and karunanidhi by their comments.
these types of comments only serve to strengthen stereotypes.
it might not be easy for these people to accept that the brahmin community was under the spotlight,which is understandable.
the type of opposition that the rationalist movement encountered can be seen by the nature of these comments.

Very nice and informative post. Tamil Nadu has been a bastion of HInduism for thousands of years. Shankraycharya is based there.

My message is for all indians and not to hindu, muslim, sikh or christian.

Please get united and stop the people who are using abusive languages for all the religions on this board.

Also they are trying to create a rift among we indians.

We are being always a nation with lot of tolerance and we have been living in unity and harmony.

Come n let us stop such people by commenting on any religion.

Let all literates and moderate people of our nation get together and stop these all negative commenting.
