Essence of hinduism
by salim das on Sep 21, 2007 08:51 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The essence of hinduism lies in the great teaching that we should love and respect all other living organisms. That makes it different from other religions. It is bad that karunanidhi has played with the religious sentiments of hindus. That is because of his irrelevance. But we hindus should be tolerant enough and learn to love him to the maximum. Anyway we are not going to change our concept of lord ram even if 100 karunanidhis tell the same

Agree with this ..

Ramayana is ingrained into our living and just because Karunanidhi said something it is not going to change our belief. In fact this may strenghen the community since we are now forced to learn more about Rama and Ramayan and understand the deeper significant message it carries.

I don't think issuing a fatwa is needed. We can always use our "vote" and show him the door. Obviously he is not going to survive that long anyway to fight another election.

Thinking a bit deeper, even a person Sisupala was supposed to have got Nirvana since he was always hating( and in that process thinking of )Krisha.

If you apply the same logic, I am sure Karunanidhi is thinking of Rama more now than ever before. Probably he will die with Rama's name on his lips which is infact a coveted death according to our scriptures.
