Actually as a Hindu I kind of find CPM reading of the dasavtaras pretty good. They are right - we should look at it as rationally as possible.
In fact no other religion can you get such a interpretation which matches our current scientific understanding of evolution - usually they have God which created heaven in 7 days and so on and so forth.
errr....actually in genesis in the bible (which is common to jews, christians & muslims), the 7 days is symbolic of a large time span, not human days - creation starts with life in water, then fishes, then beasts of the earth, then birds of the air & ends with man on the 6th day....also very similar to the hindoo text & evolution.
