Above Law
by Lalatendu Deo on Sep 21, 2007 11:48 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Arrest of Mr. Thackeray was symbolic. There has been several instances where people at high places have gone Scot Free even after indulging in things that have created havoc. The problem is that a lot of people who follow these leaders make things difficult for implementing the law of land. Inciting violence is considered as the easiest way, even at the cost of lives and even property. Even, the government have not been able to implement the law.

Mr. Thackeray's arrest and his immediate release will do good to the society. The whole workout has put the things in prospective.

It is quite a different thing as to whether the case will stand the trial. Let the law take its own course.

Yes, let the law take its own course. Let this Bala get scot free for spreading hatred and let Sanju get jail for carrying a weapon, let sallu get jail for killing a chinkara where as many of party workers of Bala may have been carrying such ammunition or killing 10s of chinkar all the time under the party umbrella...
