BJP // right wing missing in India
by Raghavendra R Ravi on Sep 21, 2007 05:19 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

We do not have a true right wing party to balance the centrist and leftist parties. BJP also is centrist. Today Politically correct philosophy is ruling the country - not the really correct philosophy. Read any main line newspaper - they will take wishy washy stand on each issue. Every politician will take wishy washy stance on everything. Every 5 years they simply switch alliances and this is supposed to be democracy. Governors deliberately favour one party and no one can do anything. When the court intervenes, we have several politicians talking of judicial activism.

People have to first start voting in large numbers and start influencing public policy in groups. Government officials do not give a damn if you go alone and make a complaint, but collect 10 people along with you and go for a representation - see the difference. You can move public policy if you act collectively.

It is probably too much to expect a politician and bureaucrat to be straight when the general public do not care enough.
