sign or not sign
by Chanakya on Sep 20, 2007 12:47 PM   Permalink

the present UPA government in any case is between the devil and the deep sea since not signing the Neuclear agreement would badly effect the reputation of the government and the country and signing the agreement would result in withdrawing support by the LEFT.... If the present government, without the LEFT, are serious about the advantages of the 123 agreement, then it would be wise to sign the agreement and fact the mid-term poll. simultaneously, withdrawing the Ram Sethu project will boost the morale of the largest population thus keeping the flag of secularism high. Whether they do the right thing at this time or not, a mid-term poll seems to be inevitable taking in to account the recent development at the cente.

Manmohan Singh, keeping his reputation as a good economist and reformist should not bow down to the LEFT and BJP and should have the satisfaction of doing something good for the country by signing the 123 agreement (ofcourse by protecting India's right to test the country's defence preparedness) and get the applause and respect of one and all.

Time and again it has been proved that neither LEFT nor the BJP (so long as they have the communal agenda) are good for the country's governance.
