Surprise, surprise Mr "Well Read" - even Atheism have space in Hinduism! it is called Lokayata. And believers do not kill them you see unlike other faiths. It is just another philosophy under the vast Hindu Philosophical Tree.
Hinduism to all the "Real" well read people without prejudices is the greatest debate by mankind to undersand THE supreme force. Hindus call that the Brahman, Muslims may call it Allah, and xians GOD... and so on.
Hinduism is different in the fact that it is a continuously evolving, longest enterprise by Mankind to decipher that force. Thats why we have thousands of commetaries on God by many many scholors though thousands of years and no single founder of our religion!
While look at all the rest of the so called religions - they say that theirs is the only GOD and even do not hesitate to kill in the name of their GOD!

Whether koran is told by allah or writeen by some vested interest people after death of prophet mohd should be told by supreme court. whether jesus born to virgin mary how this is possible should be told by judges.
