Problems of AMU
by on Sep 22, 2007 03:20 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

No out sider is to be blamed for the problems of our beloved university, we are the ones responsible for its decline,it is the destructive and politcis driven attitude of young muslims on the campus which is leading this institution nowhere, divided on regional lines each group try to out smart one another. My muslim brothers take this institution as a cocoon, where they can hide from the world and dictate terms, they give a damn to the academics! all that matters to them is laid-back attitude, will to excell in corporate or other areas is almost negligible, I don't blame them entirely, university athorities should provide them more exposure to the gruelling outside world, corruption is wide spread like the rest of the country but still that could be controlled, negative role play by many teachers further deepens the problem, 25000 resident students from different parts of the country can make any institution a volatile place, students have ample free time on their hands which further aggravates the problem so just to summarise the things it is the attitude of our young blood which needs to be transformed into something constructive inorder to redeem the glory of our wonderful institution which has been like a thorn in the eyes of hardcore fundamentalists, baying for it's blood! so lets come together and give our wonderful institute a new lease of life!

As a student of law (4th year)in A.M.U,MY assesment of the reasons that could be for these incidents:
1.Rift and Factionalism among the faculty
2.Fight for Positions among Proffesors for key posts in A.M.U ADMINSTRATION
3.The LOCAL CONTRACTORS who want to pressurise the VC to bag contracts which are being given to CPWD of late
4 CRIME situation in the STATE as a fringe reason.
5.CRIMINAL LOBBIES encouraged and aided by the different factions among the Faculty/TEACHERS.
6.GROUPS/LOBBIES who want the VC TO succumb to their demamds else leave by creating such conditions.
7.scant regard among the faculty for the institution, who are blinded in search of power ,pelf, position

These reasons are believed to be the cause for the difficult situationS BY MOST OF THE 25000 STUDENTS in AMU AT PRESENT
