No , Nishant Indian left do not know what they really want except queering the pitch of Congress. Because of their warped vision and anachronistic ideology they blunder during working hours and repent during leisure. they are singularly incapable of learning lessons from history.

With all the optimistic plans fulfilled, by 2020 India is going to get maximum 9% of its power from the nuclear energy. Moreover, the cost of per unit electricity will be substantially higher than what the common Indian pay (or can hardly pay) today. So, 123 deal is not the solution of our power problem as is being projected. Nuclear power is most likely to be the most effective source but only in distant future. Indian scientists (people from DAE for example) claim that India itself can take care of it and instead of investing so much money for the nuclear trade with US (US is the seller and profit making body in this case), it is much more justified to invest money for mining. In fact, India has slowly started this process e.g. invested nearly 4000 cr. for mining mainly in Jharkhand. So, again 123 deal is not really for power problem.
It is purely for political alliance. The clear pressure from US on India to materialize it before Bush goes or to go against Iran in IAEA or making Hyde law say what this political alliance going to mean for us. Either we do not follow these simple reasoning or knowledge or we just want to align with the US, "the FATHERLAND", having the nastiest international records in the world. We must be proud of oursleves, isn't it?

then why are our nuclear plants running at less than 50% capacity and our nuclear energy constitutes only 2% of our energy generation. My dear sir these things 25% of world thorium are all good on paper look at ground realities and act/ talk accordingly. These people are all opposing what is the alternative they are putting forward. Prakash karat is telling wait for 6 months then what whether he will bring new nuclear technology and solve India's energy needs

I think you are ignoring the main problem. That is United States have no base camp in south East Asia. In South East Asia India is in a very important position. So 123 deal is a clear indication of their mentality.
