Unfortunately all these incidents go on to damage the name of the institution. I personally feel that no college should permit elections as they go on to damage the name of the college.

I am 2007 pass out from IIT Bombay and I want to correct you - "IITs do have elections and all levels(Hostel, Institute and Department)". But whats different is that very few students contest and vote in these elections, bocoz most of the time they are burdened with never ending assignments and quizzes.
