Its a great idea - will provide employment to people in South India. The Haj Subsidy money goes to the Saudi but this one will help Indian tourism especially making a monkey out of devoted NRIs.

Hey, you camel-brains get subsidy to go visit a ton of bricks (Mecca) and lift your butts up in the air along with thousands of other camels. Why can't hindus get subsidies to go visit a bridge.

It is prescribed in Quran that Haj piligrimage has to be done out of a person's own money. Even by repeated requests from Saudi government to recall the Haj subsidies the Muslim population of India are doing haraam by doing Haj out of money earned from Hindu temples notably Tirupathi.
