I like the idea - call it "Ram Sethu" even after re-construction... Generations to come will never know this was re-constructed.

Mansi, you seems to be ignorant about the subject. Sethu means bridge. No bridge is being re-constructed. What is under construction is a canal for ships to navigate. Leave apart superstition and beliefs. The proposed canal is harmful to the ecology and damage far out weighs the benefits. The propsed canal is not suitable for large vessels presently in service all over the world.

this canal is being done to get the pockets of DMK politicians richer than to the benefits of the shipping industry. As correctly said the raise of the crude price reaching skys. the vessels of future will become bigger and bigger to have cost per tonnage and this small channal will lose its charm and all our tax money will go in to the bottom of the sea
