Ram Sethu - A matter of faith
by Count Meout on Sep 16, 2007 04:31 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

On matters of faith, there is no need for evidence. If evidence was to be the basis, then religion would never have survived since dawn of civilisation. Its only in India that politicians exploit 'faith' with violence to suit their political goals. People must have the liberty to pursue faith without fear. If evidence was to be the basis, then perhaps Israel would never have existed. Hence, there must be room for 'Faith' and 'Sentiments' - this should not be 'bull-dozed' with 'rationalism. The CM of TN being a rationalist has a right to question, but it is another matter to ride rough-shod. Yes - economics matter - but should only Economics matter? Why can't 'Faith' matter?
