PLEASE EXPLAIN

The writer writes "Ram set the highest example of righteousness, as an obedient son, caring husband, great citizen king, and a warrior par excellence. He is the embodiment of Dharma, who inspires to eliminate the wicked and establish the rule of noble virtues. Those who worship him are there in every party and organisation, yet, to rise above selfishness and uphold Dharma is a rarity."

Well well.... a man who has driven his wife out in the jungle when she was pregnant cannot be called a caring husband, can he? Can he be the embodiment of Dharma? A man who killed a low caste man for reading the vedas cannnot be called a great citizen king, can he? Can he be the embodiment of Dharma? Also, Ram was helpless when his wife was kidnapped and to get his wife back he made an agreement with Sugriva that he would kill his elder brother, the Vanara king Bali and give the throne to him if he agrees to use his army to help Rama find Sita. You cant call him a warrior par excellence, can you? Can he be the embodiment of Dharma?

But yes, he was certainly an obedient son..... no doubt about it.... the truth is he was a mere human... and he himself acknowldged it that he was a sinner and he went to atone for his sins after he killed Ravana... READ THE PURANAS...
Decide yourselves...

Also the other day there was a comment made by the SRI SRI RAVI SHANKAR (ART OF LIVING) that the Ramayana and Mahabharata are 'itihaasa' (history) i.e. real events that actually took place while th

Rama is God. He can do anything. He can kill the whole universe. Can you question God?
Sita mata is not an ordinary lady. She is the expansion of internal pleasure potency of God. Rama is plenary expansion of God. They come here and perform human like activities, called lilas.

Why their act is lila while ours is not? Because we are conditioned. If you are thirsty you must drink water otehrwise u will die. But God is not conditioned like that. If he wishes, he can drink the whole ocean at a time and remain without water for 100 years. He is not bound. He is independent and He is free to do anything at His will. Thats why He is God.

Actually Ravan and Kumbhakaran are Jay and Vijay. They were great devotees of Vishnu. As they committed an offense to the four kumaras, they had to take birth as Ravan and Kumbhakaran. They desired to be killed by Lord himself. So just to fulfill their desire, Sita mata was kidnapped and Rama played a human like pastime of rescuing Sita. In reality, Sita and Rama are completely independent. Just by a blink of Sita mata's eye, thousands of Ravanas may die. But she didnt do this. Why? To fulfillt he desires of their devotees.

@kkkk or wahtever you hide behind

Hinduism is a faith not a religon (or religious institution) which just brainwashes its poor subjects with fear of "eternal hell" or a promise (never verified) of Heaven, so that then they can use FEAR to manipulate you to do their bidding.

why are you afraid to challenge your religion?

Are you afraid that you will "rot in hell"?

I can give you detailed explanations about ALL aspects of Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma but when somebodies actions are guided by fear they cannot understand that they are indeed the children of one great Lord, and not seprate from them.

So, my firend, realize your true nature, and don't spend your Human birth denigrating the "Ultimate Truth" or who know what you will be born as next time and how many maore biths and deaths you will have to undergo to have a Human birth again.

Try your best to see the Lord in you.

Good Luck

@kkk or whatever

Who coined the term "Aryan Invasion"

It was Max Mueller.

For the other readers on the board - this man NEVER visited India but prpopounded a theory carried on by people like KKK

Futher, genetic tesing has proven that the so called "Aryan Invaders" are geneticalally different from the poepls in India and so THERE WAS NO INVASION.

Now you know how propoganda and brain washing work.

Because of Hindus like you, our country is doomed. You question Rama like this because you dont know His real position, His activities, His lilas etc. For each and every act of Lord, there are 100 internal and 100 external reasons, be it killing of Vali.

Wh you dont know? Because you never cared to read our Vedic scriptures. Have you read Bhagvad Gita? You people are always ready to question God's activities, without even knowing WHAT IS GOD? Have you ever tried to find out? You dont want to do hard work, i.e going through Bhagvad Gita and Srimad Bhagvatam. You are busy reading Sidney Sheldon and Jeffery Archer. But when such burning issues are raised, you dont wait even for a moment to come up on these forums and start offending God. What a shame !

Well those who are illusioned by Maya can only become forgetful and envious of God. God is all good. He cannot do any harm to anyone. Do you know that whoever is 'so-called' killed by God immediately achieves liberation? All the kauravas and army killed in the battlefield of Kurukshetra in the presence of Lord Krishna, immediately got relief from the cycle of birth and death and got liberation. Even after doing tapasya for millions of years a person cannot achive liberation. But just see the mercy of Lord ! Those who wer ethe most sinful got liberation just by Lord's presence. But you fools will say "Oh ! Krishna killed so may people'. That is your foolishness because you never cared to read Gita and Bhagvatam. You only gat

But you fools will say "Oh ! Krishna killed so may people'. That is your foolishness because you never cared to read Gita and Bhagvatam. You only gathered your knowledge through TV serials like Mahabharata which dont depict the actual Absolute truth but only give a humanly material picture of God which is not only wrong but also offensive

DEAR NIMAI, Do you know the reason why Sita was kidnapped and seperated Rama?

Version 1: As per Shiv Maha Puran 5.2.3 when Visnu tries to subdue Narada's ego by making his face look like a monkey Narad curses him "You too would suffer due to separation from your wife, during your incarnation of Ram and the monkey would come to your help."

Version 2: As Shiv Maha Puran 2.126 Vishnu takes the guise of Vrinda's husband and lives with her for a long time. One day, she came to know about the real identity of the person, who was impersonating as her husband. Realizing that her chastity has been breached, she cursed lord Vishnu by saying that just as he had played a deceitful trick with her in the same way somebody would deceitfully abduct his wife and he too would wander in her search. After cursing lord Vishnu, Vrinda embraced death by entering into the fire.

Religious Scholar,

Aptly named after the brian washing stint at the seminary (which semetic religion does not matter)

All you can come up with is this.

What so called scholar is a Purana?

You are quoting froma purana to try establish a fact.
Tell me the story about Vrinda and why the Lord Vishnu, the Lord of you and me would need to suffer seperation, but if not to teach us.

@ Nimai, these people have no interest in listening to your explanation all they want top do is to try to put you down so that then they can claim superiorty of their faith and continue to hurt Hindu feeling not realising that this can go both ways.

You have one set of people who cannot get their story straight, i.e. the whole story of Jesus's resurrection and why ther is ofur diffrent versions from the 4 apostles.

On the other hand, you have a set of people who blindly follow the hallucinatory teachings of an individual who preachings were written down by semi literates (thee teacher himself being illeterate) and are then programmed to go out and cary the bidding of their minders.

all these are quoted out of context and hence don't carry any value for sake of any argument.

Why are we wasting time mud-slinging? If you think your faith is superior, go and follow it religiously, but don't meddle with others' religion.
