A bridge built by monkeys and squirrels?
by Radika Chaitanya on Sep 15, 2007 03:20 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Now now.. why are we making a issue of this? The government has done the commonsensical thing and changed its stand on the Ram Sethu. That is a good thing. In any case, who will believe that a bridge can be built by Monkeys and Squirrels? It is not Hindu sentiment. It is rubbish.

You are lucky you are a hindu. If you were a muslim and said similarly about events in Prophet Mohammeds life, they would have beheaded or stoned you to death by now.

@savior, is the subtext of your message that we should change that ? Should being a Hindu stop meaning being flexible, open minded, all encompassing and having the right to a differing point of view ? Should we Hindus become narrow minded, chauvinistic, and our faith brittle - at threat at the slightest "offense" ?
Think, sir.

No we should not change that.
But we should be couragious enough to point the selective targetting done and do what u can do to prevent a social imbalance created by political morons.

That is a good point. I was just pointing out the freedom offered by Hindu religion.
