http://www.rootsweb.com/~lkawgw/adamsbridge.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam's_Bridge
http://www.britannica.com /eb/article-9003680/Adams-Bridge#209961.hook

looks like it is important for Muslims also as According to Muslim legend, Adam crossed there to Adam's Peak, Ceylon, atop which he stood repentant on one foot for 1,000 years

I think we should leave it to our Muslim friends to sort it out with the govt. They will be given more attention being MINORITIES....

God save India

No god will save India, where thakerays and advanis are living, who had killed thousand of innocents people in the name of religion. All the nonsense on minorities are not applicable for majorities (Hindus), these shamless demons still continuing their nasty work.

Sanjay (your name looks like Hindu, but nowadays fake guys are more in Rediff), unfotunately people like you talk things only to question religion or characters. The issue here is whether Ram Sethu is natural formation or man made. Few stupid ASI guys went ahead, beyond their powers, questioned the existance of Rama which was not warranted. They have presented the affidavit pretty badly that central government immediatly withdrwan as it will not stand in the court of law. The arguement should be know the status of bridge rather than Rama was exisiting or not. Rama's existance is a belief transformed over generations and every hindu from birth till end consider this name as sacred. It is a faith or belief and need not proven to anyone with a birth certificate.

@Sanjay, you are quite a character. The reply to this was already posted but rather than continuing on that you repost:

No, Ram did not require a bridge to cross over (or even Hanuman for that matter) rather the various devatas who had come as vanaras wanted to serve Him. Never mind, these things are beyond your understanding who thinks that God must be bled to pay for *our* sins. Ram did not kill brother of Hanuman (who would be Bhimasena). Ram killed Bali, the brother of Sugriva and there are multiple reasons for that (e.g. usurping the kingdom, expelling Sugriva and usurping his wife).

No, unlike christian philosophy where God has to bleed for our sins, Devi Sita had no business here. In fact, the one normal jivas thought of as Devi Sita in Ravana's captivity was not Her who is the support of all the universes. As such since you have no idea of any of this and all your "knowledge" is based on heresay, it makes little sense for you to argue about this.

But the logic is why a God requires a Bridge to save his wife and Ravan did not required. Hanuman carried whole mountain was he not able to take Ram straight to Ravan.

@Sanjay, i believe you better not talk of logic. Do you really think that God has any business here and was trying to "save" Sita?

Anyway, Hanuman was ready to bring Shri Ram to Sita when he brought the message of Shri Ram to Devi Sita. This was refused by Devi Sita since She wanted Shri Ram to finish the lila to demonstrate the ideal behaviour to the mankind.

@DON you said:
"The ONLY reason why SITA refused was she was really really really njoyin her stay with RAVANA"
And this is known to you how? Or you think that posting your imaginations is somehow funny?

Whether it is man made or natural, since it is reqired for our country for transport as well as for defence, there is nothing wrong to demolish the ram sethu, which is under sea and can not be seen to any body unless go to sea.

So many things are including temples and masjids are being demolished for widening road or for some other constructions, this is also for road constructions, but in the sea.
