Why are we Hindus so insecure? Insecure over the muslim population rise, insecure about Cathlic conversions. Now we are even insecure about our faith. It makes me really wonder if I ought to abandon such a faith with insecure followers. Anyway, I was never a religious bigot. I was and am a rational logical human being who asks, seeks and questions. The biggest evil is to blindly believe what our ancestors have benn drilling into us. Most of it is drivel. So wake up and ask, question, seek! This is the basis on which great nations made progress.

No one is insecure, but it seems you are! And completely ignorant and ambivalent about your faith! And a excellent candidate for conversion. The very fact that you suggest the possibility of you converting says it all.
Hindus, because they are secure and firm in their faith, are asking for the same respect that other religions aer asking and receiving.
There is enough evidence, through numerous scientific and historical research and studies, to show that jesus the 'son of god' never existed, and that christianity was a complete invention of a Roman empereror to control and rule over the tribes. Should we then not ask for all the churches to be demolished, because they represent a bogus faith and a bogus son of god? Yet the GOI under a christian leader, Sonia Gandhi, will never suggest even remotely for such a thing. But, yet will throw all kinds of insults and insinuations against hinduism adn hindus. This is blatant hypocricy.
And dull-witted, indifferent hindus like yourself are willing partners in this assualt against other devout hindus. You and your kind make a perfect candidate for conversion - if you haven't already converted. I suspect you are already a convert, but parading around as a hindu to make a point.

HI who told you hindus are insecure? Its just that the goverment action is irresponsible. Dont you see how would people of other religions react to an issue like this, if it concerns their religion? there would be marches, bandhs, rallies etc, and they would pressure the goverment to make the minister resign,apologize...
HIndus did not resort to any such thing, reason being we sincerely beleive that such utterences are foolish. for that matter had hindus felt insecure, they would not have allowed (i am not speaking of armed invaders of other religion. Those who came here to live here but practising other religions)
So hindus are the most secure people bcoz they dont convert others, they dont force others to follow others to follow hinduism...
It has total freedom such that being a hindu i dont have to visit temples (i don't for that matter), or for that matter, i can be an atheist (which is still accepted as one of the sects in hinduism) too!... Such a religious freedom exists in hinduism. I dont want to comment on other religions.
So when there are some people in goverment who are hell bent on destroying the bridge, which is precisely to hurt the sentiments, then the reaction to the same, is just what is necessery.

But they will hurt our religion rentlessly... put more comment at http://www.geocities.com/allltruth/
it's not insecurity, It is insulting. C'mmon tell me who is your father? How do you know your father is the man you see? I'm saying he is not your actual father and someone else is.

You got my point better. This is not a platitude but it did hurt you when someone is questioning your belief. Start respecting others belief. Do not question them if you don't want to get questioned.
