No religion
by Imran on Sep 14, 2007 02:19 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Religion is the root cause of all evil. The present-day methods of worship are no different from those of the savage; the method of supplication has changed with the advance of the years, but the fundamental ideas at the base of all worship are just as crude today as they were 4000 years ago.
Religion and Gods are handy tools for the mullahs, pujaris and politicians to exploit the weak people.

Darwin-theory - "Survival of the fittest" is the natural process of destruction of weaker living being. Only religion (specially hindu religion comprising doctrines of vedas/upanishada preaches "Vasudhyee eba kutumbakam" - means, all creatures are my relatives) saved weaker human from darwinian or natural-perish. What science is doing right now, religion was taking the same role with more futuristic vision of total wellbeing of everything including philosophy and moral ethics. Even today, 95 percent person having scientific vision, real intelligence (read the scientists) have great respect for religion and the traditional long term development of the world. You so-called anti-religion person cannot wash everybody's brain in one fortnight.

Religion prevents our children from having a rational
education; religion prevents us from removing the fundamental causes of
war; religion prevents us from teaching the ethics of scientific
cooperation in place of the old fierce doctrines of sin and punishment.
It is possible that mankind is on the threshold of a golden age, but if
so, it will be necessary to slay the dragon that guards the door, and
this dragon is religion." (_Bertrand Russell._)

My message is to every one no matter mulsim or hindu.
In these difficult times we are told that we should go to the temple,
that we should get in touch with God. We do not need the temple. We do
not need to get in touch with "God." We need to get in touch with each
other.
