Sonia has been doing such things ever since she was elected as Prime Minister. At that time she realised that heading a Hung Government was most risky and she also realised that its better to be a KING MAKER. She was very clear about personal gains at that time too. This time around as well, she has played the same trick. Initially, made sure that the world knows that people of India have no respect for a relion followed by majority and the applying balm to the wounds by withdrawing the Affidavit.
WHEN WILL WE UNDERSTAND. IS THERE A SINGLE SENSIBLE PERSON IN CONGRESS WHO UNDERSTANDS THE TRICKS BEING PLAYED. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UNDERSTAND.
1) Follows Rajiv Gandhi's vision of computerisation , liberalization, liberal thinking and strong defence. 2) Seeks to focus on economic development by getting the brightest brains to run the country. ( Imagine Rajnath Singh replacing Manmohan ! ) 3) Seeks capitalism with human face. Ensures free enterprise but does not hesitate to step in to control things - such as inflation less than 4% now with a GDP growth of 9% ; controlling cement prices , planned retail sector expansion. 4) Superb relationship with US and Israel while ignoring votebank politics. etc etc

I also believe only Congress worked. Not anymore. An Congress worked because it has been most corrupt. To gain personally corrupt would have to work. Now for your obesrvation: Computerisation: The country had to be computerised because the world was getting into networking. So no option, any leader whether he like dor not would have to do it. Liberalization: Thanks to World Bank, IMF and similar bodies. Brains: Will you like individual comparision. Do that you will be put to shame. For instance, Lalu claiming reforming of Railways. Is it really true? No, he is just enjoying the benefits of all the good work done by his Nitish. GDP: Targeted between 8%-10% by NDA and not by Congress. Congress only belives in vote bank politics. Congress can't handle a Ramdoss or left parties. What do you expect from them

Siddhartha, Very true. The economic progress we are seeing is a result of the work put in by the previous govt.In fact UPA is trying its best to hinder the same with reservations in premier institutes therby diluting the standards of avail workforce, threat of reservations in private sector, mishandling terrorism and other internal security issues, supporting the cause of terrorists like Afzal Guru for shameful vote bank politics etc. Not only that, it is using every opportunity it gets to belittle and insult the majority. Its the most anti-national Govt. we have ever had. Not that the alternative (BJP) is saint either, but among options definitely seems more preferable.
