It is a pity the Government had to retract on the issue. There was nothing wrong in the affidavit filed earlier. It merely said that the Government had no scientific evidence to prove the existance of Lord Rama. Now by retracting, does the Government want to say that they indeed have some evidence to scientifically prove the existance of Lord Rama at some point in time? If it is so, the Government should come out with the proof. The influence of RSS/VHP can be seen behind this step backwards.
