Shameless Govt & Media
by Ramaswamy Ayyar on Sep 13, 2007 03:41 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Though I am a staunch Hindu I believe that Sri Rama is only a mythological character possibly created as an embodiment of desirable qualities.
But I also reject Abraham , Jesus & Mohomed as messengers of God & I dont believe in any parting of the Red Sea, resurrection, immaculate conception or Gabriel or al-buraq. But our pseudo-secularists & 'Hindu' rationalists are silent about this while being very vocal about Sri Rama being fiction & even indulging in crap talk - what else can we expect from crap characters.
And the 'Face the Nation' program on CNN-IBN anchored by Sagarika Ghosh specially mentioned the inconvenience caused to the public by the 'Hindutva' forces - even I believe that they should not incur public ire - they could have instead obstructed the 'secular' politicians. But why specially mention this - what about the obstruction frequently caused by the communists & other political parties & the Muslims in their demand for reservation.

moderate hindus are outraged by the fact that government can say that with impunity, for a slightest slur against islam, the world would burn and the politicians / power that be dare say anything against them. but hindus ? we've been a punching bag for ages. but no longer... the outrage is justified.
