How many of us really know that till 18th Century AD, India was the richest country on earth not only in terms of money but also in terms of knowledge and spirituality ?
Do we know that out of top 10 universities in the world, 7 were existing in India ?
We lost all these because of our indifference attitude towards our own culture and Macauly's education system.
We hindus need to learn a few things from muslims. We all know how "hazarat bal" is preserved in Srinagar, Kashmir. When they can protect a hair supposed to be of prophet Mohammad, why can not we protect the birth place, monuments attributed to Sri Ram ?

Why 18th century even now India is the richest country but not the Indians. Whether it is before 18the century or after, wealth is accumulated in only a few people. In olden days they were called kings, zamindars, etc now they are called politicians, business men, etc. But at least now the situation is better in that there is a class called middle-class emerging mainly due to education and better jobs.
