This article only highlights only the clauses that are in India's favour. The points that India is bound to, are not stressed. Those are important to look at too. Those are the point which the left is trying to stress on. There is a difference between the opposition between the Left and the BJP to the deal. Left's opposition is based on the clauses that are not favourable to India in the long run. One thing people do not understand that US is not giving any technology to India that is new. This technology exists and if not US, someone one else will deliver that to US now since we have become 'important'. Off course US will oppose any such deal. If the only aim of India is to get closer to US then there can be some other deal which is not binding to India! I mean why should we be bound to any US pressure for 40 years? History has shown that US cannot be trusted. So why this deal? Why take a bus which does not take us to our destination of energy security completely and also wastes lot of our time money and self respect? The current nuclear capacity is just 3% and will most optimistically increase by 10%. And for that increase, we will have to dance on American beats, all do not make sense. Lets miss the bus, the other one will be right down the corner.

Learn history.India is not even capable of making fighter pilot trng equipment.Lot of young fighter pilots lives r in danger as they r operating antiquated 1970s MIG 21s.DRDO and ISRO are just assembly lines,each IC is imported from US or Asian countries.More we have russian model and copied all blueprints,for all imginable defence equipment,they themselves r bankrupt now.With russian economy u will not even get food.China is not missing any Bus,why shud we.We dont have any scientist left to manage elephant nuclear reactors or defence equipment,we dont have free oil money to purchase them.Pakistan is getting free supply with vengeance from china and also US as they r co-operating,u miss this bus,someday ur life will be in danger.How do u expect public sector modelled after russia or nuclear tech plan to survive?Japan,Germany,SouthKorea actively worked and cooperated with US,see where r they now?george fernandez banned coke and IBM,it resulted in 90's bankruptacy during chandrashekar PM govt,he mortgaged gold to buy oil as foreign exchange was finished,now after opening economy by Manmohan atleast we r seeing excess foreign exchange.what is wrong with power generation?Power is the major block in the development of India.We r progressing in infrastructure,telecomm,industries,IT.We totally lack in Power,agriculture,think atleast like China,why do u wnat to be short sighted,r u a politician who wants to keep indians poor,uneducated,starvation.Now world became global,be 10 steps a
