JUst because christians believed that earth is at the centre of the universe Galileo had to loose his life. So should we forget all about science and start only respecting sentiments?

people refused to take medicine for chicken pox and small pox believing it to be the wrath of the goddess. Where should the respect of unfounded sentiments should stop?
