Why was the government trying to protect the Babri masjid then? If all religious symbols are meaningless, they should all be equally dispensable.

Becasue history is based upon tangible material evidence and Babri Masjid did exist. Faith and imagination is something else, even if collective millions believe it.

dont be an idiot....

no one is saying that all the temples in madurai should be knocked down...

its just that the bridge thing is not PROVED. temples and mosques are quite there...

scientifically it has not been proved that there has been anything man made there...

thats the point....

its not that religious symbols are meaningless...
