This is shocking even by standards of pseudo-secularism. The government of India has filed an affidavit in Supreme Court stating that there is no scientific evidence to incontrovertibly prove that Ram ever existed or Ramsetu was built by Rama.
Does an incontrovertible evidence exist that Jesus ever existed? Does an incontrovertible evidence exist that Jesus had 'virgin' birth or was a son of God? Does an incontrovertible evidence exist that Koran is unadulterated words of Allah? Does an incontrovertible evidence exist that Muhammad was a messenger of Allah or Allah exist?
More importantly, can our secular government file such an affidavit? Let's say an affidavit that there is no proof that Shariat is law of Allah and hence, Muslim personal law should be done away with?
Why this liberty only with the religious sentiments of Hindus?

idiot...
there IS no evidence for ANY of the following... that people believe them is a matter of FAITH...
they're seperate things... how can you not understand that?
the fact that there is sharirat law is not because its given by allah but because muslims use it to govern themselves. nowhere in any law does it say that sharirat law should be respected because allah declared it.... thats what the muslims believe and the government has allowed them to be governed by it...
