Guru Gobind Singh stated that he and Guru Nanak were descendents on Lord Sri Rama of Ayodhya...was he lying???
Mahatma Ghandhi is considered the father of the nation, Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind Singh are the two most important Gurus of the Sikh faith. Are they all wrong to believe that Lord Rama is real and did exist??????

if what is said in bible is true,what is the proof moses existed?,where is the noah boat? what is the proof that jesus is the son of god.i say jesus is a human being and lied that he is gods son.now prove me where that god is? i say mary want virgin,prove that she was virgin and yet gave birth to jesus.criticizing others religion is blasphemy and people who committed it should be hanged like in saudi arabia.so shut the hell up.

Valmiki was a Rishi and a philosopher of four Vedas , having knowledge of Ashtang Yoga. Rishi means he who sees Ved mantras in his heart while in samadhi. He never saw Sri Ram until Rishi Narad once came to his ashram and told about Sri Ram. Valmikiji, with the power of Yoga, saw all about Sri Ram in Samadhi. All that time Sri Ram was ruling over Ayodhya after killing Ravana and uptil then Valmikiji became Rishi and had realized God in Samadhi so how Valmikiji could utter Mara-Mara when he had become a philosopher of four Vedas and Ashtang Yoga. Sri Ram ji was born before one crore, eighty one lakh, forty nine thousand and about eighty years. In sunder kand of Valmiki Ramayan, written by Valmikiji , in shlokas 11,12 it is mentioned that there were elephants each having white, four teeth. Such elephants were available from two and a half crore to fifteen lakh years ago in Africa. According to this shloka too, Sri Ram ji was born before nine lakhs years. Lineage is like this- Shri Ram was born in Ikshwaku family. Manu was the first king of this earth. Then Ikshwaku was the son of Manu. Then Kukshi, Vikukshi, Bann, Anrannya, Prathu, Trishanku, Dhundhumar, Yuvnashva, Mandhata, Susandhi, Dhruvsandhi, Prasenjit, Bharat, Asit, Sagar, Asmanj, Anshuman, Dileep, Bhagirath, Kakutsth, Raghu, Pravridh, Kalmashpad, Shankhan, Sudarshan, Agnivarna, Sheeghrag, Maru, Prashushruk, Ambreesh, Nahush, Yayati, Nabhag, Aj, Dashrath and then Shri Ram, Laxman, Bharat, Shatrughan

don't talk like a nutcase Preeti. Your arguments are silly and emotional. In any case most people like you never really cared for Gandhi and his thoughts so he does not probably exist for you. For you - he was nothing more than a muslim appeaser when what he was doing was from ethical concepts derived from wisdom of our sages and rishis. They wrote good things for people and we take them for real. A lot like a thousand years later people watching Amitabh bacchan movies can't distinguish between his movies and his real self. Gabbar Singh might become your Ravan , Jai and Veeru your Ram Laxman ...

Gandhi kaa naam kyon badnaam kar rahaa hai. Most people in this forum throw abuse on him and Nehru all the time. If you have proof Ram was a real character - you need proof. However - people believe that Ram existed and if that brings that to right path - I thing that is fine too because not very intelligent people need some guidance in life because they can't make proper ethical choices. Ram provides ( though debatable like throwing out your wife on mere suspicion and making her walk through fire ) a reasonable model for them. An ideal of a near perfect man.
