The reason why Lord Rama and the Ramayana is so easily dismissed is because no one fears the Hindus. Hindus are seen as cowards because the majority of Hindus will do nothing if something is done against their religion. Most Indians claim to be Hindus but are not in fact Hindus, they go to temples, do their puja but never defend their faith and when other Hindus do stand up to defend Hinduism they are labelled fanatics.
Thus even in India, where the majority is supposed to be Hindu, people can easily stand up and insult Hinduism because they know they can get away with it. Had the Hindus had the same attitude and faith in their religion the way the Muslims have, then no one would dare insult their faith that easily, they would think twice, especially in India. But only in India, so many impotent Hindus live and allow for such insults to take place including MF Hussain's paintings depicting Hindu Gods and Goddesses as naked and having sex.
Shame on the Hindus for allowing such insults to go unavenged! Shame on them for not following the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita which cleary states what is to be done to those who attack your religion! Shame on India!!! Shame on Indians!!!

whether quite or loud, truth prevails.
But remember just because we beleived, truth will not become false or false become truth. E.g., many centuries people beleieved earth is flat, or sun going around earth... did they change just because we believed. When the proof came beleiefs have to change accordingly otherwise we making ourselves liars and our children followers of the lie. Your belief determinse your destiny
Sometime back I read in Competetive Success, a magazine that many Group 1 exam takers prepare had secion on persons Past, mentioned Jesus 4B.C Budha ~500BC Mohemmed ~500AD there they showed Valmiki ~800BC and Vedavyas ~800BC as Sanskrit poets, who wrote stories, why didn;t this agitation takes place then? You know more thing Valmiki is contemperor of Ram as per Ramayana... how it is possible one who lived 170000years back and one who lived in 800BC can be contemperors? Is History wrong?

But how can you talk facts about history - Only from writings. That is what Ramayana is. millions of places that corroborate with the Ramayana. How did CSR know valmiki existed at all? where is the proof? How did they know Mohammed is a real person and not a figment of imagination? What about Jesus birth? There is not mention of Jesus's Birth from a virgin in historical books. Only Bible talks of Jesus.

Dear Truth Teller,
I was a student in South Asian Studies in a Western university. We were taught that Indian history was twisted purposely by the British to fit the Biblical time lines, thus they purposely distorted India's history. Furthermore the example you give about the world being flat etc etc these are the beliefs of Semetic religions (Christianity and Islam). Hinduism is a scientific religion where even embryology was discussed in our shastras (Please refer to standard Medical text "The Developing Human" by Dr. Moore, University of Torono Medical Sciences).
Hinduism is the only religion that is scientific and won the praise of Einstein, Schopenhauer, Voltaire, Tesla and countless other pillars of Western society, both Scientists and Philosophers.
Be careful of who you argue with, I am not some blind hindu, I am educated in the sciences, but insulting my religion is not something I take lightly.
