Implications of the Nuclear Deal
by Lalatendu Deo on Sep 11, 2007 03:16 PM   Permalink

It is now clear that the Deal is US centric and the US is not interested to share the cake. Due to abundance of Fuel in Australia, the cost of procurement would be very competitive.

Though the US is interested to sell those half a dozen Reactors to India, and thereby wanted to ensure the supply to those reactors by conceding vital points, they want to not to share fringe benefits with others.

In the changed scenario, that is after the Left Parties' steadfastness, India should delay a bit to take a decision to sign the deal. May be some good concessions from the US and NSG are in the offing.
