Early Polls in Karnataka
by DrYNI Anand on Sep 11, 2007 03:43 PM   Permalink

The sixteenth chapter of Srimad Bhagavadgita dwells in detail about the demonic qualities. Arrogance, pride, anger, conceit, harshness and ignorance belong to those of demonic nature. They believe that to gratify the senses unto the end of life is the prime necessity of human civilization. Thus there is no end to their anxiety. Being bound by hundreds and thousands of desires, by lust and anger, they secure money by illegal means for sense gratification. Self-complacent and always imprudent, deluded by wealth and false prestige, they sometimes perform sacrifices in name only without following any rules or regulations.

We had read about such demoniac characters in scriptures only. How (un) lucky we are today to find such characters in real life also! Extending a shaky hand when help is needed and discarding it after usage are the prime qualities of the current day politicians. They have no scruples or principles. If the CM thinks that the secular image of JDS has taken a beating, why the hell he took their helping the first place and yet continuing to depend on them? Why did the family go to Srirangam and other places to perform pujas? Like the great Indrajitu or Jayalalitha who performed Nikumbhila Yaga to obtain great power to destroy Lakshmana or other so called enemies? All the foregoing does not mean that I am a sympathizer of BJP. They themselves usurped power through back door and are being paid in the same coin. Shame on such people who we call our leaders.
