They are 100% true Muslims. Their scripture tells them to kill all kafirs. It says even if some Muslims die during such attacks, it is OK and they will be highly rewarded after death.
Point to be noted is that Indian Muslims are not bad people. Their religion is bad. In fact most of them are most humane because while following the Islamic tradition is all prayers etc, they turn blind eye to the part of the stricture that tells them to kill Kafirs. In fact, most of them go to the extent of even denying the existence of such strictures.
One more thing: people in this forum act as if this is Hindus vs Muslim problem. Don't be blind, all over the world, these '100% true Muslims' who follow everything written in their holy book are creating problems. Thailand, Myanmar, European countries, Russia, US - name any country where they can form a group, they have created trouble. But they try to give these troubles a local picture so that their opposition stays divided. Bush's plan and action would have been best if it was really guided by restraining Global terrorism - Alas, US intention is oil and oil only. That is the tragedy.

Libran.. you are right to a great extend... however, as far as terrorism in India is concerned, my observation and opinion is a bit different than you. The Muslim community who have been here for immemmorial times, who fought together with Hindus and other religions for freedom of India, and has been settled down here are a differnet lot than that of muslims worldwide. Let us not forget that only school education does not make a person liberate or human...the surrounding, the culture of the country, the constitution and a community living in India has made Indian Muslims much more liberated and forward looking and peace loving. Whether they are in minority or not - that is not the question - Whatever growth and position in the world India achieved today has its share of contributions from Muslims too. However, we cannot compare the muslims population in our neighboring as well as other countries with that of Indian muslims, though they may be lacking in academic education. Other countries are jealous of India since all religions here live peacefull in a secular environment and they are not able to digest the same. This is what makes them to do terror attacks on pockets of Hindus and sometime at muslims so as to create a devide between the religions and make the Muslims think the way other muslims. As far as terrorism in India, these so called Jihadis (the young/educated blood of Indian muslims) are being mesmerised with wealth, thus making them contract killers.

All these non-Muslim Indians are bearing witness to the fact that Islam was not spread by the sword.Indonesia is a country that has the maximum number of Muslims in the world. The majority of people in Malaysia are Muslims. Similarly, Islam has spread rapidly on the East Coast of Africa. May one ask,Which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia, and to the East coast of Africa ?

Today 80 % of India is not hindu Considering the pakistan and Bangladesh which were part of India before 1947 , Muslim population is 50 % and hindu population is 50 %

I would say, it is men who had opted islam, because they had freedom to marry more than one woman, and secondly they could suppress the ladies and use them for their service, but in other religions, both the sex are treated equally and given same previlage and participation.Besides they can marry only one, and get divorce after a period of 3 years to get married to the second. What ever hindus that were converted to muslims were belonging to the sudhras. Those who did not wanted to convert, committed suicide (like King Prithviraj Chawhan's family) and remaining fought against them to throw them outfor e.g. Shivaji Maharaj, Prithviraj etc
