George, very recently I read in TOI that in europe they have acknowlege that they learned Calculus from India ( kerla) through Christian missionaries. This info is published in a reputed journal of europe.

That is what needs to be discovered by Indians who are stills living with colonial handover. This where the knowledge of past comes into picture. India can never be a Vishva Guru ( a nations as envigaged by Kalam) unless it recognise its glorious past because it's past only can give it required strength to achieve what it wants to get
for yuor info Nueton got lot of information through missionaries who came to kerla. So europe learned a lot from India and their foudation is on the knowlege they got from us. It is a diffrent matter they behaves very selfishly with us

Britain ruled over half the world by colonising it. Hence the spread of british culture, language, science, etc. They also brain washed us to believe all things indian are uncivilised. Of course, the Americans are more open minded. They have now strted accepting the benefits of certain indian things like Yoga, ayurveda(remember modern focus on neem, turmeric, etc.), speed mathematics of rigveda, etc.

Most western societies are inferior to eastern societies with respect to the strength of family, values, food habits. If we discount the effects of poverty, lifespan in eastern societies is higher. Japanese are longest living people. Indian sages were record hoders for lifespan as the y ate very meagrely and only fruits and vegetables. Today western science is acknowledging the eating 30% less than normal increases life span of rats in lab by more than 100%. Ceertain humna cells lifespan increased by 6 times when kept on low energy diet. Most indian sages practiced intense fasting and low breathing techniques to even slow down heartrate. We know that animals having lower heart rate live longer.

Churchill and co. had once declared that Indians and other third world countries are so uncivilised that is why God has sent the british to civilise the world. God did a wonderful thing. HE landed Hitler who had similar notions about German nazis. So Hitler declared that his nazi race is even more superior to balance of europeans. Everyone knows what happend next. All 3rd world countries got liberated after the 2nd world war.

Knowledge sharing is not an isolated activity. In case of Newton, we learned about his theories after british ruled over us for 300 years. If we ever do the same in Britain, surlely british people would learn all about our culture.
