Budhia
by saturn on Sep 10, 2007 02:32 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Is it true that Budhia's health had some major problems after his long distance running? It was also learnt that his running was stopped due to these problems.
But his so far attending school suggests that the problems may not be so severe, if at all there are any.
If it is not true, why can't he continue his running which he likes more than anything else?
He is an exceptional child. So why can't be exceptions made in his case if he wants to run?

I simply cant buy the argument that one would consume a full day to travel across Bhubaneshwar.

on the tv budhia clearly seemed out of sorts at the end of the race, it should not be the case if he were fit. he can run, doesnt mean he will become Olympic material automatically. probably budhia needs to be trained everyday , just like the top athletes do. the sad thing is that people all over want a child to run... why ? whats the fun in a child running if he's not fit ? there's a limitation to children running in the heat, let that be respected. right now he needs support, and the state government is doing nothing.

Even you and me would feel that after the run. There were extentive tests conducted by experts at the Government hospital and every parametre was stated to be normal.

By making our comments we are making (Including the NGOs Ministers and ordinary people) is making things difficult for Budhia. Let the experts say.

He can;t run because some NGOs aired a documentary in foreign TV about morality of running and achieving success in childhood instead of being indoctrinated in a stalinist neo-colonial school system. Once ideologues get a handle on Budhia's life, he would be allowed to run.
